FICAN WEST is at your service
FICAN West or the Western Cancer Center coordinates oncological treatment, research and training in Western Finland (Turku University Hospital, Satasairaala (in Finnish) in the city of Pori, Vaasa Central Hospital and the University of Turku). We are a part of the national Finnish Cancer Center FICAN. We are here for you – patient, scientist or employee at FICAN West.
In November 2019, the Tyks Cancer Centre was approved as an OECI (Organization of European Cancer Institutes) Cancer Centre. Cancer Centre status means that Tyks meets the high quality European standards of cancer care and research. The cancer center status underlines the role of research network collaboration among clinical, basic and translational researchers at FICAN West Cancer Centre.
